What we know about you.
Effective July 2026. Applies to the Evenfall iPhone app and kinovva.com.
The short version. Evenfall has no accounts of ours, no ads, no trackers and no analytics. What you watch, which country you are in and which services you pay for stay on your device and in your own iCloud. The one optional server feature, the shared household, stores only what sharing a watched list requires.
On your device, and in your iCloud
- The people in your household, and their names
- Films and series you have seen, been offered, or saved
- The streaming services you ticked
- Your country, either the one Evenfall worked out or the one you set by hand
- Your movie night reminder, if you turned it on: a day and a time, kept on the device and delivered by iOS. There is no push server.
If you are signed into iCloud this data syncs through your own private CloudKit database, under your Apple Account. We have no access to it.
How Evenfall knows your country
It reads your App Store storefront, and if that is not available, your device region setting. You can override it in the app at any time. Evenfall never asks for location access and does not use GPS. The country is used for one thing: asking which services carry a title where you are.
Sign in with Apple, optional
You only need it to share a household with someone on a different Apple Account. Apple gives the app a random identifier and, if you allow it, your name. We never receive your email address, your password, or any other Apple Account detail.
The shared household, optional
Joining or creating a household uses our family service. It stores only your random Apple identifier, an optional first name, the household invite code, and the film ids and timestamps of the shared history, so both phones can honour the never repeat promise. No email addresses, no locations, no analytics. Invite codes can be retired, and leaving a household removes you from it.
What leaves your device
- Film requests. Posters, titles and streaming availability come from TMDB, with availability data from JustWatch. Those requests carry a title or an id and a two letter country code, and nothing about you.
- Purchases. Subscriptions run through Apple. Our billing partner RevenueCat processes purchase receipts and random app identifiers to unlock Pro: purchases, identifiers and usage data, not linked to your identity and never used for tracking.
What we never do
- No advertising, no ad SDKs, no tracking across apps or sites
- No selling or sharing of personal data
- No analytics that identify you
This website
kinovva.com sets no cookies and runs no analytics. An invite page, kinovva.com/join, asks our family service for the household name and how many people are in it, using only the code in the link.
Children
Evenfall is a general audience app rated 4+. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
- Delete the app to remove everything held on the device.
- Remove the synced copy in iOS Settings, Apple Account, iCloud.
- Leave a household in the app, or write to us to have its data deleted: hello@kinovva.com
- Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store settings.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the new version appears here with a new effective date.
